The University of Mauritius welcomed a delegation from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China on 18 September 2023.

The delegation from BIT consisted of Professor Long Teng, President, Fellow of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dr. Wang Ying, Director of the International Affairs Office and Dr. Yang Fan, Director of the President's Office. 

Members from UoM included myself along with the Pro-Vice-Chancellors, Deans of Faculty and a representative from the Registrar’s Office.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UoM and BIT was also signed during the visit with the aim of establishing collaborations between the Parties in areas of mutual interest.
