Dear Students

It is with great pleasure that I address you today as the new UoM Vice-Chancellor.

It is an honour and privilege for me to lead the University of Mauritius after having served as an academic first, then as Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and until recently as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academia).

In my new role as Vice-Chancellor, I am committed to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning and innovative research in line with the University’s vision and mission.

Let me reassure you that the UoM will spare no effort in providing all the resources, facilities, support and opportunities you require, both curricular and extra-curricular, to ensure your professional and personal development.

Right from the start of my tenure, I aim to encourage open dialogue with all the university stakeholders so that we all work together towards our goals in an environment of trust, performance and shared success amidst different challenges.

Let me reiterate my commitment to make your university experience a positive, enjoyable and fruitful one.
