AMERICAN HISTORY I

American History is a course for eighth graders, which provides a comprehensive inspection of the United States from when Native Americans first came to the Americas to the Civil War. This course incorporates a study of different cultures and political developments in order to give the student a better understanding of the American society we live in today. Students will gain a perspective of American History in a variety of ways; reading primary sources, discussing different viewpoints, creating projects, and comparing and contrasting recent events with history.

By the end of the class students should be familiar with the different aspects of the world that has created the American identity we see today.
