This course introduces students to the fundamentals of starting, managing, and growing businesses within the agriculture industry. Students will explore opportunities in areas such as production agriculture, agribusiness services, food systems, and agricultural technology. Through hands-on projects and real-world examples, students will learn how to identify business opportunities, develop business plans, manage finances, market agricultural products, and evaluate risk.
Emphasis is placed on innovation, leadership, and problem-solving as students examine how entrepreneurs create value in modern agriculture.
