INTRODUCTION TO ANIMAL SCIENCE ​

Prerequisite: Grades: 10,11,12Credits: 5Credit Type: ElectiveOffered: 1st Semester

The purpose of this course is to provide students with practical knowledge and skills in the areas of animal agriculture. Students will learn internal and external anatomy of livestock with a focus on systems of the body and the effect of environment on their performance. Content includes, livestock selection, food processing, and livestock nutrition. Students Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs and record keeping are a part of this class. This course has no prerequisites.
