Once a Co-op position has been approved and created via discussions with the Business Career Hub, supervisors must complete the STT OPSEU Offer Letter if the student will be working during the fall/winter semesters (September 1st to April 30th) between 25 and 36.25 hours per week (36.25 hours per week is considered full-time hours) as well as a PAR form clearly indicating at the top of the form that it is a Co-op position. Carrie Wiebe, (cwiebe@torontomu.ca) Executive Director, Planning & Administration, must sign/authorize all Co-op PARs. Once both forms are complete, supervisors can submit them to Tiffani Tran tiffani.tran@torontomu.ca to be entered into the HR system.
If the Co-op student is working during the summer (May 1st to August 31st) even if they work full time hours (25 hours to 36.25) they would be considered non-union and a Non-Union Offer Letter needs to be completed with the amount of hours per week (25 hours to 36.25) however, instead of entering an eAppoint transaction a PAR form must be filled out indicating at the top of the form that is a Co-op position. Carrie Wiebe, Executive Director, Planning & Administration, must sign/authorize all Co-op PARs. Once both forms are complete, supervisors can submit them to Tiffani Tran to be entered into the HR system.
