The subject of this image are 3 popsicles held in-front of someone’s head. The setting is the woods during winter. To edit this image I increased the saturation and light. Then I used color selection and just selected the popsicles so the focus was on the color. An element of design in this image is color. The main focus of the image is color which is why there is color selection.A composition technique in this image is low key lighting. Even though the image is vibrant the lighting is still dark in the background which helps to make the colors pop. Another composition technique in this image is selective focus. The popsicles are in focus but the rest of the image is not which shows the story of the image more effectively. This image is saying that most people are wishing for summer even when it is winter. If you take a broader stance it can show that as humans, we wish away time hoping for other things when really we should be living in the moment because we really won't be here very long. If I could change anything about this image I would make the popsicles more symmetrical so the image was more aesthetically pleasing. Or I would position the popsicles so it looked like the boy was thinking about the popsicles and draw a bubble around them.
