Candy Still Life

The subject of my creation is that I have dots and twizzlers positioned in certain areas so I had an easier time with shadows. I made this work with candy, colored pencils and a sharpie. I chose to create this specific artwork because I thought twizzlers would challenge me with their shading and I chose dots for an easy thing to draw.

I used shading in my drawing for a technique and I darkened my colors so you couldn't see white underneath in some areas. I mainly used a lot of shading and somewhat details in the twizzlers because I found that to be the easiest. My project didn't evolve other than the fact I chose to use different types of candy I was gonna use skittles and then twizzlers but went with the dots instead.

I don't really have a meaning behind my story, though twizzlers are my third favorite type of candy which also relates to my life but other than that this project doesn't have a story behind it or relate to my life. I think I could've done a better job doing the actual shadows, I think those could've been stronger same with darkening the colors so you couldn't see white in some areas.
