Sustained Investigation #8

For this project, I wanted to capture some of why the African penguins are considered endangered. The struggles they face daily with their habitat are the biggest issues. The human presence is the number one issue endangering the African Penguins. These issues include overfishing the water around them, and oil spills.

For this project, I used watercolor paper and paints, watercolor brushes, colored pencils, and markers.

I researched why they were considered endangered. I sketched out a couple of ideas with the penguins and different items that were possibly causing them harm. The water is their primary habitat so I knew I wanted to be able to capture both of that within my project. I added in the main reason that affects their habits with using a fishing boat in the water.
