Artist Inspired

In my drawing my subject was a mother losing her child and I wanted to show how a mother would feel losing her child and I feel like a mother would pretty much feel like death. I used watercolor for the background colored pencils for the woman and the background behind her I also used colored pencils on the mother and child at the bottom of the page. And I used markers for the highlighting and some areas within the artwork.

I used a blending technique and I also used scratching and lines with my work with the colored pencils to give a Vincent van Gough vibe. Actually the only thing that I changed about my drawing was adding the mother and child at the bottom of my artwork other than that I didn't change anything about my first idea.

I know a few people who have suffered with losing their child so I had some knowing on what I was drawing and I knew losing a child is one of the biggest lost within our society. My project doesn't relate to my life except for the fact that I know people who have dealt with this. I am actually really proud of my artwork and I love how it came out so I don't think there is anything that I would change except for maybe the mother and the child at the bottom I think I could've done a better job drawing that and making it look more detailed.
