My inspiration for this was to create two figures pulling apart from each other, almost like they were connected before and are now splitting into two completely separate beings. I then added in the mouth as one and the eye as another; this represents my own gaze and views stretching away from my voice and the things I say. Symbolizing the difference between the two, and how vastly different they can be. Yet they have the ability to be connected. I also added the eyes into the background to represent the gaze of others, analyzing and judging the process in the image.

My process was to first test and try out different hatching techniques, and I decided on just hatching in one direction. After that, I started my sketch. Once I had gotten something that I was happy with, I started to add the hatching of the neck and chest to each figure. After that, I did the stretch marks on the faces and filled in the face and the features, then colored them in. Finally, I did the background.
