My inspiration for this piece was that I wanted to experiment with perspective, and I had a ton of white space to deal with on my gelli print. I also wanted to make a full body figure, just to challenge myself and try to get most of the proportions correct with a perspective piece.
Gelli print, pen, and markers on 8" x 12" watercolor paper.
My process was to first find a reference for the figure, then I sketched out the figure and made sure that I got most of the proportions right. Then I went in with markers and pen, after that I colored in the background and added a few stars to fill the space. And after that, I added more stars after getting critiques, so that there was more to look at and caught your eye more.
