My inspiration was to have a large figure with a big smile, I kind of wanted to create a larger face then what I've done in the past. I also wanted to experiment with the wording and lettering. 

Pen and Marker on 9" x 12" Watercolor Paper

I sketched the large face and the lettering around him, I then outlined the figure and the writing. After that I used a first layer of marker, then I went in with shadows and second layers. Finally I added the background color.
