My inspiration for this piece was the portrayal of being hunched over or curled up almost, not wanting to be seen by others. Trying to hide yourself as best as you can, I wanted to do this with two separate figures is different poses. I also wanted to add something surrounding them, which is why I added the cloudy outline to emulate poison. And the pink spikes, both of these to act as an unwelcoming presence.

My process was to first find the references for each pose, then I sketched them out. After that I went over them with one layer of marker, then went in a shaded and added texture with the colored pencils. After that I did the background.
