Cyanotype and Bleach Exploration

My inspiration to create this was that my clay slab sort of looked like a planet, it just looked weird. So I thought that I might as well creat something a little weird on top of it. So I went with an alien looking creature.

Posca Paint Markers on Clay

My process was to first sketch out my idea, then I added a first base coat of paint for all the colors. Then once it dried I added a second layer and some more darker and lighter shades. And finally I wend over some spots with a second or third layer and added final details and shading.

My inspiration for this was actually a doodle that I drew during Art History, it was a figure that was on top of a candlestick. With a candle on his head, so I thought why not re-create that on the shirt.

My process was to first go in with the most diluted bleach, then keep adding more and more bleach to get the lights and darks I wanted. Then finally I added the paint over it to give it some color and liveliness.
