My inspiration was to try to paint, as well as I wanted to create a landscape. Becasue all of my previous works haven't had any actual landscape backgrounds, so I wanted to try to make a peice with one. As well as trying to use gouache for the second time, and actually try to use it in a more diluted way.

Gouache on 9" x 12" watercolor paper.

My process was to first underpaint the paper with a light blue, I the sketched out my idea. After that I wtarted with the yellow grassy area, then added the layers and colors. I then did the same thing with the face, backgroud and foreground.
