My inspiration was my splash of ink; my first thought was that it looked like glasses. So I sort of just went for it from there, and I created a character based on the glasses. After that, I had a smudge that was next to the character, and it looked like flames. And my character looked sort of like a rock star. So I went with that and then made the rest of the page relate to music.

My process was to first sketch out my character, then create the microphone and the flames coming out of it. After that, I inked my sketch, then went in with markers. And finally, I added the faint music notes in the background and outlines to make the subjects pop.
