My inspiration for this piece was that I wanted to experiment with perspective, though it being a pretty simple form of persepctive. I wanted to start with a form of perspective we see very often, I also wanted to include me into the piece. Which I portrayed through the actual figure.
Pen and Markers on 9" x 12" watercolor paper.
My process was that I found a reference of pants, to see the folds and the look they have on a persons body. I then found the pose that I wanted to use, after that I sketched out the figure without its head. After that I did the linework of everything, after that I went in with the markers. Finally I filled in the background with more smoke-like shapes.
