My inspiration for this piece was that I wanted to create several figures that had many different disproportionate features, I wanted to experiment with how the figures face would be shaped and how it would effect the composition. I also wanted to limit myself to just using pen and grey toned markers.

Pen and Markers on 4" x 4" watercolor paper

I first sketched out all the faces, I then went in with a larger pen and outlined all the figures. After that I added the details the the faces themselves. I went back in with the larger pen and filled in the background with black, and finally I added the shading with the grey markers.
