On auspicious Gudi Padwa day April 5, 1962, the Pratibha Friends Circle Library was formally inaugurated by a senior literature lover Shri Gunba Shiva Prabhu Desai. The chief guest was social worker and teacher Shri Vishwambhar Prabhu Gaonkar.

The space for library was given for no cost by Late Shri Keshav Prabhu Sawkar. Shri Vishnu Bhat Upadhye, Laxmikant Chari, Dinanath Chari, Dinanath Devari, Mahesh Shinde, Pandurang Borkar, Tulshidas Shenvi Borkar gave all their helpful hands for repairing and painting the rooms to get them in good shape for library. The initial donation of 119 books and funds was given by Goa's first Chief Minister Shri Dayanand Bandodkar.

Pratibha Sports Club:

To keep "STRONG MIND IN STRONG BODY", "Pratibha Sports Club" was established in 1965. Inaugurated by Shri Vishnu S. Upadhye. The facilities included were to play Ring tennis, Badminton, Ball Badminton, Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Carrom and Chess.

Every year Sports Events are organized on 15th Aug on the occasion of Independence Day.

Pratibha Arts Club:

This wing was formed in 1966. The first Sangeet Natak "Gharabaher" was staged in 1966. Since then drama enthusiasts have been successfully staging dramas of a high callibre.

  • "Asach ani Itkach" staged in 1979 won first place in Goa All Drama Competition. It also won Second place Direction and First in Lighting arrangement in All Maharashtra Drama Competition in 1979.
  • "Parijaat Mi" won First place in 1976 in Kala Academy, Goa Competition
  • "Yaajsaathhi kela hota athhaas" in 1970 got awards for actors-Pandurang Kerkar, Pandharinath Kerkar, Pandurang Kudke and Madhusudan Tendulkar.

Other activities: Annual Saraswati puja, Laxmi puja, Ganeshotsav, Kirtan, Acting, Singing, Films shows.

Pratibha Sangeet Vidyalay:

Established in 1967 under able guidance of vocalist Shri Ramnath Mathkar from Borim. The school was inaugurated by Goa CM Smt. Shashikala Kakodkar

Well known singers Pt. Prabhudev Sardar, Smt Ranjana Kashyap, Ramnath Mathkar, Ashok Bellare, Ajit Kadkade, Tulshidas Borkar, Venkatesh Godkhindi, Madhav Gudi and many more have given their performances.
