Dilip Borkar – Sahitya Academi’s Bal Sahitya Puraskar for his Konkani novelette “Pintuchi Kallbhonvddi” Fifth time man of lettes from Bori has won the award.

Vishram Borkar – President Police Medal for meritorious service

D’Malice Group – Our D’Malice group got selected for mega auditions and now amongst top10 candidates selected from 55,000 contestants all over India in Dance +. They did well in the first round. This is the first Goan team which has recognition in a dance reality show at the national level. Star Plus did shooting in Bori to celebrate the dance group. The youngsters gave put Bori on all India map.

SFX Club – Won Siemens Trophy at Football tournament in Siridao

Sanat Gajanan Borkar – First position in Interschool Table tennis in all Goa.
