Nihal Ramakant Borkar

Nihal is President's bravery award winner. On Jan 23, 2011, he was honored with CID Gallantry Award by Sony. He saved a drowning child when we could not swim himself.

Today Nihal is a good swimmer and is studying to get diploma of ship building.

Nihal Borkar has a Diploma in Mechanical Engg from Institute of Ship Building Technology, Vasco. From his young age he has proved his bravery. In 2006 he saved a 7 year old boy, Shankar from drowning in mine waters. Many organizations have felicitated him for this.

• Godfrey Philips Brewery awarded Rs 15000 at the hands of India’s Solicitor General at Taj Hotel, Mumbai
• The TV channels of CNN and IBN felicitated him at the hands of actor Akshay Kumar for King Contest Crown of Rs. 5 lakhs
• Goa Govt. felicitated on 19^th Dec 2007 with State Award
• President of India, Smt Pratibha Patil felicitated with a award of Rs. 30000 and President’s Medal.
