Bori Village
Borim is blessed with nature's bounty and beauty. The oxisoils of Goa give the red coloured landscape with the shades of green of fields and forests. The village is blessed with Zuari river, the tallest hill in Goa, Siddhanath Parvat; The prominent temples of Borim are of Navdurga, Saibaba, Gopalkrishna; The church of St. Francis Xavier is located at the banks of Zuari. Kulagars, paddy fields, fishing canoes, jasmine gardens, coconut, betel nut, mango, jackfruit, bread fruit and many other tropical fruits & flowers enhance the natural beauty.
The Coca Cola bottling till 1977 was the major employer started by Dr. Jack Siqueria, which later manufactured and marketed a brand Top Cola. Some employment is from Mandovi Pellets on the border of Borim and Shiroda. else the village has small or cottage industries.
