Bori Kalangan 2017

This Bori Development Trust initiative will promote art among school children in Bori. Each sunday (from 9-10 am) one budding artist from Swami Vivekanand High School or Pragati Vidhyalaya shall make a drawing at Top Cola bus stop. This program will be for next 52 weeks, for Class 5-10 from August 2022 to August 2023

First drawing session by our young students commenced on 4 August 2022. The topic for this year is India@75.  Please attend the event each sunday between 9-10 am.

The photo of the drawing will be taken for the judging on a min 10-megapixel camera to grade and the the drawing with the name of the student, class and school; and will be maintained for a week for public viewing.   

After 52 weeks the drawings will be graded by the judges and the prizes will be given at the hands of the Governor of Goa 

The weekly drawing will be published on the BDT website with feedback 

We invite all to be present during the drawing session each Sunday to encourage the children and provide feedback. This activity will be lead by Sanjay Bhat Borkar (+919370698180).

Bori Kalangan arranged an all Bori Govt School Art Mela on October 25, 2016 in Tishem, Deulwada, Tamshire, Khazordem and Panniwada Govt Primary schools in Bori. Total of 74 students from 1 to IV standard participated in the Art Mela. There was great enthusiasm among the children to participate in the Art Mela.

Jyoti Mukesh Naik, ex-Sarpanch of Bori Village, Manurai Naik, ex-Sarpanch of Bori Village, Vasant Parvar, President - Navdurga Consumer Society, Gurudas Karekar, President, Bori Urban Credit Society, Durgadas Borkar, Prakash Naik & Vinda Borkar conducted the Art Mela.
