We are affiliated to JCI (Junior Chamber International), & INDIA which is a worldwide network of nearly a quarter of a million members in over one hundred countries and territories. Firmly known as JAYCEES,
Jaycee members come from all walks of life irrespective of caste, creed, colors or race, which have joined to meet, learn and grow to create a positive change and trained to become better leaders and responsible citizens. Our organization is for Individual Development through Various training Program’s.
We organize projects in the areas of Management, Business, Individual, Community and International Development.
We believe in the advancement of the global community and the creation of positive change by improving ourselves and the world around us.
We strive to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create a positive change. We create better leaders to create better societies.
Members learn from the various opportunities that we provide which are:
Management opportunities
Through activities and training, members can get managerial skills. This is one organization which teaches its members, how to be better managers.
Individual development opportunities
We develop skills while contributing to our communities and work tirelessly towards the upliftment and development of youth through our various training programs; Members can learn how to enhance their skills. This is probably the only NGO in the world that produces Trainers too!
Community development opportunities
Through relevant community development projects, members can get a chance to work for the community.
International opportunities
Through the world wide contacts, members can build a big net work and learn the different customs and culture of different parts of the world
Business opportunities
Through the contacts available through the organization, the members can develop their business and can contribute for the economical growth of their nations
Since last 14 Years we are conducting numerous Individual Development Training As well as Public Relation, Community Development programs, Business-Oriented programs, in Bori, Shiroda & near by areas.
Following few Yearly projects:-
· Up gradation of Siddhanath hill temple steps completed on December 20, 2009 in time before the Annual Jatrotsav. This is the project under leadership of Jc. Kapil Borkar and Project Manager - Jc. Uday Waman Naik
· Installed & taking care of TWO BUS SHELTER at Borim Bridge & Near Top cola Factory(Deulwada)
· Distributions of Water packets & soft Drink to the Participants & also to the Spectators during the time of SHIGMOTSAV.
· Various medical camp throughout the village & near by areas.
· Various Individual Development Training Program to the Members as well as to Non Members.
· National Level talent search Examination for Higher secondary students.
· Jaycee week celebration along with the Jaycee organization at the Local, National & International level during the month of 9th to 15th September.
· Annual ALL GOA GHUMAT ARTI COMPITITION.
Members ACHIVEMENTS at Village, State & National level:-
· Our past president Jc.Satish Naik has been Elected as a Member of village panchayat of BORI for consecutive second term from BETAKI ward.
· Our past president Jc.Manuray Naik has been Elected as a Member of village panchayat of BORI from Tamshirem ward.
· Our Past president Jc.Sudesh Borkar has been awarded Outstanding President of Zone XI (GOA & part of Maharastra) Runner up in 2000,
· Jc.Sudesh Borkar has been Elected Zone Vice President of Zone XI (GOA & part of Maharastra)in the year 2001 & ZONE PRESIDENTin the year 2002,
· Jc.Sudesh Borkar has been Elected Executive vice president (National Vice President) of JCI – INDIA in the year 2003 & awarded him Prestigious outstanding Executive vice president of JCI- INDIA.(Runner-up)
· Our past president Jc.Shailesh Borkar & Jc.Manuray Naik has Serve zone as a Zone Director in 2000 & 2002
· Our Past Presidents Jc.Apser Shaikh, Jc.Sameer Shinde, Jc.Subhash Phalgaounkar,Jc.Sudhir Shinde has been appointed Zone co-ordinater of Zone XI, in past years.
· By organizing All Goa Ghumat Arti competition entrance fee we have donated note books, School uniforms, distribution to the needy students of our Village, so also the profit of the said competition donated to Late Kargil jawans family members, donation towards to the construction of Gopal Krishna Mandir, Deulwada –Bori, Shri Rampurush Mandir, Mangirwada - Bori. & also to the Marathi Bhavan at Porvorim – Panaji. etc….
Major Projects undertaken in last 14 years. (Besides yearly project)
· Noted Marathi & Konkani poet Name board of Padmashri Bakibab Borkar Marg installed at paniwada – Bori, & at his Residence were people should locate his residence.
· Unemployed be Self employed an one day training seminar conducted with the help of Govt.of Goa to know more about how to be a self employed & various Govt. schemes.
· Installed Road Safety hoardings & welcome Boards at key point of Bori Village.
· Medical & awareness Camp Such as Hepatitis B Camp, Blood group detection camp, Diabetic detection camp, Healthy Baby Competition, Dental Camp, etc...
· “NEED BLOOD CALL JAYCEES” an international project successfully runs by our members during the time of emergency, more than 60 individuals benefited by these Projects.
· “Sur Sandhya” an Indian Classical Vocal & music Show organized.
· Marathi Drama & Hindi film Primear Show organized for the aid of the chapter.
· Activities organized such as Cricket tournaments, Football Tournament, Badminton Tournament, fancy dress comp, Solo Dance Comp,” Manache Shlok” Comp, Drawing Competion,Handriting Comp,Abhang gayan Comp, Singing Comp, Chess Comp,Rangoli comp, Crib Comp,Matoli comp, Decoration comp,etc…etc…..
· I.T.Exhibition has been conducted at Ponda.
· Free Computer literate course for Students.
· An special wing of JCI BORI has been founded for the Cricket Lovers Known as “Nayal Bori Cricket Academy” conducted cricket coaching camps & these wing has been given fame to the bori village by winning lots of Session ball cricket tournament in GOA.
JCI has also partnership with a number of International organizations and members can gain the benefit of these organizations. Some of them are United Nations, UNESCO, United Nations Global Compact, Pan American Health Organization, Conference of Non Governmental Organizations, International Chamber of Commerce, and AISEC etc...
