It would seem that the above cancel was lost sometime between May 1885 and March 1887 and this cancel was used as a stop gap. Only dated example 6 June 1885. Proud’s D3. No example held.

Standard thimble type of small diameter (20mm). Small font for date plugs are distinctive. The lettering and date plugs appear to stand proud, which shows as extreme weakness or absence of the outer circle. Proud’s type D5.
Simple cds with MAURITIUS at base. Approx 24.5 mm diameter. Known period of use 21 December 1908 – 20 February 1922. Similar to StPR.cds7, but gap between Saint and Mauritius is narrower. Dates of use are also a clue. Proud’s D6.
Mauritius at base 23.5mm diameter. Difficult to separate from StPR.cds6 with the letter spacing being slightly more bunched. Not listed by Proud as it was probably lumped together with D7.
