Standard 1864 issue with ‘CUREPIPE ROAD’ at top. Known dates of use 26 March 1883 – 26 June 1894. Year date plug often missing. Diameter approx 20.5mm, though often smudged so appears larger. Proud’s type D2.

Standard thimble type of small diameter (19.75mm). Small font for date plugs are distinctive. Known dates of use 1 January 1900 – 16 December 1908. Later examples show a weakness above ‘PE’ of CUREPIPE. Proud’s type D4.

Simple cds with MAURITIUS at base. Large 25 mm diameter. Known period of use 26 September 1908 – 16 May 1922. Later examples can often be found with debris attached which makes the font look thickly cut. Proud’s D5.

Simple cds with Mauritius at base. Font is small and narrow and the date line is high in relation to the script. Known dates of use 27 April 1925 – 2 August 1927. Diameter approx 24mm. Proud’s type D6.

Simple cds with MAURITIUS at base, 24.5mm diameter. Main difference form other versions is the double digit time code and date line relatively low. More scarce than CR.cds5. Dates of use 7 December 1928 – 28 November 1931. Proud’s D7.

Standard Mauritius at base cds with a diameter of 23.5mm. The small gaps at the side between CUREPIPE ROAD and MAURITIUS are narrow, especially at right. Can be found with a lot of debris attached to the cancel.  Known dates of use 18 February 1934 – 11 February 1954. Proud’s D9.

Simple cds with MAURITIUS at base. 23.75 mm diameter. Similar to earlier cancels, but font is narrow and very fine. Time stamp in actual time rather than code. Known dates of use 15 July 1952 – 25 September 1958. Proud’s D10.
