John Nightingale

John was probably a Private in the 1/4^th Battalion of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (Service Number 4691833). He died on 22^nd April1940. He was probably one of the soldiers belonged to the force which landed at Namsos in Norway in April 1940 and advanced towards Trondheim. He is buried at Trondheim (Stavne) Cemetery. His death was remembered in St Mary’s church magazine.
