Donald Sykes

Donald was the son of Albert and Dora Sykes, of Horbury, Yorkshire and his death was remembered in St Mary’s church magazine.

Donald was a private in the 2^nd Battalion of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (Service number 4690530) and died from an attack of malaria whilst serving in India on 5^th August 1942, aged 22. He is buried in Kirkee War Cemetery.
