Alfred Fisher

Alfred was born in 1886, the son of Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Fisher, who (in 1901) lived in Junction Lane, Horbury Junction, in the parish of St Mary’s Horbury Junction, Wakefield. Jacob worked as a factory stoker in 1901.

Albert was a Private in the 1st / 4th Battalion of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (Service number 2453) and died on the 14th January 1917 – probably during the battle of Arras. He is buried at Warlincourt Halte British Cemetery, Saulty.
