Joseph Stephenson

Joseph was born in Hull, but had come to live in Horbury by the time he enlisted. He was a Private in the 2^nd / 4^th Battalion of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (Service number 46455), and died on 27^th November 1917. Joseph has no known grave, and his name is recorded on The Cambrai Memorial, which commemorates more than 7,000 servicemen of the United Kingdom and South Africa who died in the Battle of Cambrai in November and December 1917 and whose graves are not known.
