The movie begins on the New Planet Namek with Coola arriving there within the Big Gete Star when the Namekians enjoying the name of peace. But suddenly, the "ecplise" appears as the Big Gete Star absorbs the energy and attaches to the planet. Dende, who's now the Kami-sama of Earth, asks the Z-Senshi to go all the way to New Namek.

When Goku, Gohan, Kuririn, Piccolo, Kame-sennin,  Yajirobe, and Oolong arrived there and encountered the robots, known as the Cyclopian Guards, Gohan takes out one guard and later, they see a familar face - it's Coola, in his Meta-Coola state. Coola was almost got killed in the sun and his remains were found by the Big Gete Star, allowing him to take control. The battle ensues between Coola and Goku, while Goku's friends (and the Namekusei-jins) are kidnapped to the Big Gete Star, and Coola was outclassed by a Super Saiyan. Shockingly, Coola reveals that the Big Gete Star monitors his body and fixes anything.

Vegeta joins the battle with Goku, and they disposed Coola. However on the cliff, the Big Gete Star housed not one Coola, but thousands! The Super Saiyans are outclassed by the army of the Meta-Coola clones when they woke up inside the Big Gete Star and they saw the source for it - the actual or true Coola! The real Coola is the one who controls the Big Gete Star and plans to drain Goku and Vegeta's energy. However, the Super Saiyans regain their strength by overlaoding and blasting the Star. Then they defeated the true Coola with the last of the energy as the Big Gete Star explodes on New Namek's orbit.

The Z-Senshi thanked the Namekians for saving their planet and Yajirobe offered them a Senzu Beans when Gohan wonders what happened to Vegeta. Finally, Vegeta is in the pod after giving the Senzu, crushes the last remaining chip on his hand (ensuring Coola would never return), and returns to Earth.

CANONCITY CLARIFICATION: Non-Canon

This cannot placed in the timeline. There is a plot-hole that Dende was the Kami-sama at the beginning of the movie, by which time Gohan could turn Super Saiyan. But Goku and Gohan didn't power down from Super Saiyan form from when they left the Hyperbolic Time Chamber until Cell was destroyed. Also, Gohan is clearly younger than he was in the Cell Games, because his hair is still long and he is still shorter than Kuririn.
