The Soul of The Beginning

The Creator began to be a Creator.

But no universe saw it.

No light revealed it.

No world composed a song

to sing about it.

So the Creator responded

with great understanding,

compassion and wisdom,

and sang, “Let there be light,’”

the song that rings on through the ages,

enlivening the lonely,

bringing the beginning into the heart of the end,

warming the heart of the end with love,

until the end becomes the soul of the beginning.

Day and night hold hands and rest quietly in joy.

Mercy and truth kiss and their children run and dance,

listening to the song of God,

forever and ever. Amen.
