At Storm's End

No ego stands before God

There is no lust in the new heaven and earth

The ego imagines it owns the soul

It’s imagination is empty and longing

and fills itself with lust

The world turns from lust to lust

From fire lust to water lust

From water lust to fire

The world’s hammer is imagination

It’s sword is ego

The soul will be saved from ego

All Israel will be saved

The soul will be delivered from the pain of lust

No ego stands before God

There is no lust in the new heaven and earth

The soul is a dove caught in a storm

The King and Queen of the soul

who gave it birth

are also torn and tossed by the stormwind

When they sit again on their thrones

the dove will rest on their arms between them

They cried out to God in their distress

and He brought them out of their calamity

He poured contempt on the flying ego

and raised the needy soul from the ground

Elijah opened up and said

Teacher of all teachers

Giver of all givers

You are One

The One acknowledged

above all who are acknowledged

The One beyond all who are beyond

No thought can grasp You

The King and Queen of the soul

are Your garments

in which You make yourself known

and in which you conceal Yourself

They were not fashioned

And You Yourself fashioned them

You weave worlds together

And no one can tear them

If a soul is born

it was woven from Your garments

If a soul dies

it falls into Your hand

If a soul lives

it is a thread in the hand

of the Weaver of worlds

There is a city where life dwells

where kindness and strength

beauty and success

glorious radiance and secure foundation

are the living streets

and their rule

is wisdom and understanding

The sound of the shofar

calls the soul to go there

to be clothed there

You will walk all Israel there

concealed under Your wing

along the banks of the river of life

which flows out

from the garden heart of that city

For Your love and Your word

are the waters of that river

Only in that water may You be known

Only in knowing You may we be known

Reveal Yourself

Our Beloved

And spread over us

the sheltering wing of Your peace

Hurry to us!

For the time is come

Let the earth be illuminated by Your glory
