God suffered to emanate an emptiness
And the emptiness was with God
and the emptiness was God.
In the emptiness that was God
and with the emptiness that was with God,
God commanded with full joy
that which was not at all
to become and to be.
And with this commandment
that which was not,
was not God,
was not at all,
obeyed God and became.
That which had not been at all
became an emptiness with the emptiness of God.
We are the choir of emptiness,
who stand together ready
with closed and empty mouths and empty lungs.
To sing or not to sing
is our question.
For if we should sing
we will fill our lungs
with God’s commandment
and we will fill our mouths with God’s praise.
And God’s praise will be our fullness, and we will fully be...
fully obedient to the commandment
of the One who emptied Himself for us.
And we who are only emptiness
will be fullness forever,
with the fullness of God.
But should we not sing,
again and again, until finally
we never sing, but instead place
our hands upon our mouths
and say in our hearts:
We ourselves are the emptiness that is God:
We are the One...
Then will praise wither in our lungs
and all song perish in our hearts.
Oh, from the emptiness of our hearts
let us sing prayers of thanksgiving,
for the emptiness of God,
that we might become full!
God suffered and formed an emptiness in Himself
to make emptiness, and Sarah was barren.
God spoke into the emptiness and said, Let there be light!
and Sarah conceived and suffered and brought forth her son called, Laughter.
Kings and queens were confused.
For kings full of themselves brought forth only hot air.
Now their hot air cooled when they heard about this new miracle Jew.
And queens who had always miscarried found they were suddenly fully pregnant,
as if they were true daughters of the Mother of All Living!
Let us now go up to Jerusalem and laugh and sing with Sarah!
