1½ oz. aged Applejack
¾ oz. Dubonnet
¾ oz dry Vermouth
1 dash Orange Flower Water
1 dash Peychaud’s Bitters
Shake with ice.
Holiday Cocktail
5 parts bourbon
2 parts gin
1 part Cointreau or Triple Sec
1 part Dubonnet
2 parts dry vermouth
dash Peychaud’s bitters
1 part heavy read wine (dry)
Stir with ice
Notes: Rick - I’d read the parts as 1/2 ounce, serving 2
Haitian Holiday
1½ oz. Haitian Rum
1 oz. Cherry Kijafa
½ oz. Cointreau
3/8 oz Maraschino
2 barspoons lemon juice
1 dash Orange bitters
Shake with ice
Spiced Apples
4 oz. Calvados
4 oz. Chambraise
1 barspoon Orange Flower Water
Notes: Rick - should serve at least 2
Mein Liebchen
1½ oz. Barbados rum
1½ oz. Cherry Kijafa
½ oz. Curacao
juice of ½ lime
dash orange bitters
Shake with ice.
Notes: Rick - If you don’t have Barbados rum but do have a good golden—damn the Barbados, go ahead!
If you have neither, try half white and half dark rum. For God’s sake, let’s have a drink one way or another.
