Your favorite brownie recipe (baked and cooled)
½ lb semisweet chocolate or bittersweet chocolate, chopped (can use chocolate chips – cheaper and easier)
1 cup whipping cream
In the top of a double boiler or a metal bowl set over simmering water, combine chopped chocolate/chocolate chips and whipping cream. Cook, stirring often, until melted and blended. Remove from heat and let ganache cool a bit until just warm but not set.
Pour ganache over cooled brownies in pan and allow to set until firm, about 1 hour in the refrigerator. Cut with sharp knife into squares.
