1 cup raisins
½ cup warm rum
1 cup butter, softened
½ cup powdered sugar, sifted
2 cups flour
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp baking powder
Preheat oven to 375°.
Bring raisins to boil in rum. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 30 minutes. Drain. Cream butter and sugar. Sift flour with salt and baking powder; add gradually to creamed mixture. Add raisins. Roll out dough to ½ inch thickness on floured board. Cut with cookie cutters. Decorate with cookie stamps. [optional] Bake for 20 minutes. Makes 12 cookies.
