Peanut Blossoms

½ cup shortening

¾ cup peanut butter

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 egg

2 Tbs milk

1 Tbs. vanilla

1 ½ cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

granulated sugar

Hershey kisses

Preheat oven to 350°.

Beat shortening peanut butter until well blended. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat until fluffy. Add egg and ilk and vanilla beat well. Shape into balls. Roll in sugar.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Immediately press one Hershey kiss into each cookie.
