4th battalion had deployed 9 of its tanks in four forward positions.
The other tanks were deployed in reserve at the Buire Wood Tankodrome.
On 22nd March all but 9 of the tanks were sent forward, the rest were committed on the 22nd.
4th Battalion lost all but one of its tanks during the retreat; the survivor, 8118, was handed over to 1st Battalion.
