Records indicate that many were converted to composite tanks: By the 1st July 1918 each company in 14th Battalion had eight male and six hermaphrodite MkV tanks W14. The 8th and 9th August 1918 Battle History Sheets for 10th Battalion in PRO 95-103 show almost all of their tanks with known female serial numbers fired some 6 pdr ammunition
