Freedom and Abuse
Freedom is attractive, and so is eroticism. However most people have been brainwashed to hate such things. For women who have freedom and eroticism, this means that they are attractive to men; however most men also hate them for the same qualities they find attractive. And this combination always leads to abuse.
The solution for women possessive of freedom and eroticism is either non-engagement with men who have conservative values, or being in a strong enough position to fight off such men when they inevitably start doing what they do. These men want the woman possessive of such qualities, but their values are against everything that such a woman is about. This results in what often becomes a homicidal obsession, or at least a character-assassination obsession. They want and they hate at the same time. Because they want, they wouldn't leave alone; because they hate, they wouldn't stop attacking. The result for the woman is living with her worst enemy; and most of these women would have a better time of it spending their lives in a high-security prison than they do living with such men.
The men wants - badly - because freedom and eroticism are attractive. The man hates - worse - because these things are against his notions of right and wrong. The main strategy becomes to imprison; to oppress; to become paranoid, controlling and abusive. He wouldn't let go, because he craves. He wouldn't stop attacking, because he hates. The life for the woman becomes a complete hell; and the man's life isn't much better.
There are two possible solutions to this problem. One is for the man to change his values on this matter. The other is for the man to change whom he is attracted to. He needs to think long and hard why he went for the woman, and how his life would be if he was with someone more traditional. And then he has to decide whether to modify his attractions to be with someone who fulfils his values or to change his values to be with someone who fulfils his attraction.
If you are a free spirit, it makes sense to avoid people who aren't free spirits, or who are vulnerable to suggestion by people who aren't free spirits. Another possibility is being in a strong enough position to fend off such people. In either case, freedom is enough of a virtue that those possessing it be able to have a fulfilling existence. And that means either avoiding those who would abuse oneself for it or putting oneself in a strong enough position to defeat them.
