Student Poster Award

PSYCHOANALYTIC DIVISION

of the NYS PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION

ANNOUNCES a $500 DOCTORAL STUDENT POSTER AWARD

for the BEST POSTER PRESENTATION on a PSYCHOANALYTIC RESEARCH PROJECT or a PSYCHOANALYTIC CLINICAL TOPIC PRESENTED at NYSPA’S ANNUAL CONVENTION on MAY 31, 2014.

We invite doctoral students to submit research or clinical projects that contribute to psychoanalytic theory,

research, and/or clinical practice.

To apply to present at the poster session and to be considered for the award, submit the following information to 1)dfisher@nyspa.org in NYSPA’s Central Office and to 2) Dr. Evelyn Rappoport, Psychoanalytic Division Awards Committee Chair at evrapp@aol.com by May 9, 2014:

  • Title of poster
  • A 500 word abstract (including statistics) with text sufficient for a detailed review (up to two pages) if appropriate, along with a copy of the power point text for your poster.
  • Author's name(s), contact phone number and contact email address.

Accepted presenters must be registered for NYSPA’s Annual Convention on Saturday, May 31, 2014 (www.nyspa.org). Poster setup begins at 7:00 am. Posters must be ready to display by 8:00 am. Presenters must be available to discuss their posters at the following times: 8:00 - 9:00 am, 11:00 - 11:30 am, and 2:30 - 3:00 pm.

The PSYCHOANALYTIC DIVISION’S POSTER AWARD

will be announced at the NYSPA Convention on May 31, but the award will be presented at the Psychoanalytic Division’s 2014 Fall Conference. All applicants for the Psychoanalytic Division’s Award will be invited to be guests at our Fall conference. If you have questions, please contact Dr. Rappoport at evrapp@aol.com
