Eric Pollak, PsyD received his masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Long Island University, where his research focused on predictors of self-esteem in Orthodox Jewish adolescents. Dr. Pollak completed a predoctoral internship at the VA Hudson Valley providing evidence-based treatment for PTSD, substance abuse, and insomnia to US Armed Forces veterans, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Yeshiva University Counseling Center where he provided individual treatment, crisis intervention, campus outreach, and several well-attended workshops for students on sleep hygiene. He is also trained in CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) for victims of trauma. Clinically, Dr. Pollak provides clinical services to children, adolescents and adults for insomnia, low self-esteem, PTSD and other anxiety disorders, and he is strongly committed to the dissemination of evidence-based, culturally/spiritually-sensitive treatments to under-serviced communities.
