POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITION: EVIDENCE-BASED TRAUMA TREATMENT, Children and Adolescents

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITION: EVIDENCE-BASED TRAUMA TREATMENT. Applications are being accepted for one (possibly two) post‑doctoral fellowship in community-based trauma treatments for post-Hurricane Sandy recovery focusing on Child and Adolescent populations. Funded as part of a full trauma services grant from NYS Department of Child and Family Services, the position begins September 1, 2014 and is funded through September, 2015. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in related field of Psychology (Clinical, Counseling School-Clinical Combined), experience with childhood trauma, experience in school settings, and training in cognitive-behavior therapy preferred. The applicant should have the organizational skills necessary to manage the daily operations of a large-scale implementation across numerous schools. The fellow will be involved in all aspects of the program including (but not limited to): prevention programming, recruitment, outreach, training, supervision of other psychology trainees, treatment implementation (CBITS & TF-CBT primarily) and data management and analysis, with possible manuscript preparation and publications. This opportunity is a limited grant-funded position and IS NOT part of our APA accredited Child Clinical Fellowship. Candidates must have completed all requirements for doctoral degree and be eligible for a New York State Limited Permit to practice.
