NYU Postdoctoral Program Open House
7:00–7:45 PM GLOBAL CENTER ROOM 269:
Prior to the evening's Award Colloquium, Postdoc's Recruitment Committee will sponsor an Open House for those interested in learning more about our analytic training program. Current candidates, graduates, and faculty will meet with those who attend to discuss and answer any questions about the exciting learning environment and collegial community of Postdoc.
Light refreshments will be served.
Multiculuralism and Psychoananlysis Award Colloquium
7:55–9:15 PM GLOBAL CENTER AUDITORIUM:
The Multiculturalism and Psychoanalysis Award is sponsored and granted by the Committee on Ethnicity, Race, Class, Culture, and Language (CERCCL) at NYU's Postdoctoral Program for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. It is awarded to a doctoral student who has written an outstanding paper in the area of psychoanalysis and multiculturalism. We are delighted to announce that Daniel Gaztambide, a doctoral candidate at Rutgers University, has earned this years's award wit his paper, "A Preferential Option for the Repressed: Psychoanalysis through the Eyes of Liberation Theology." Mr. Gaztambide will receive the Multiculturalis and Psychoanalysis Award, and will present his paper to the community. Dr. Lewis Aron and Dr. Annie Lee Jones will serve as discussants. Dialogue with the audience will be invited.
This event is open to all.
