The Seleni Institute is a nonprofit organization founded by George and Nitzia Logothetis in 2011, which provides the care, information and research funding critical to supporting mothers and families. The Seleni Institute is increasing:

· The availability and accessibility of mental health and wellness support for women and their families;

· Emotional support for women worldwide, through reasoned and practical online information;

· Knowledge and understanding of reproductive and maternal mental health through research funding.

From individual therapy and psychiatry, to acupuncture and massage, to workshops and moms groups, our breadth of services and unique, collaborative environment make the Seleni Institute the only center of its kind in New York City. Job Summary:

The Seleni Institute seeks highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as licensed psychotherapists or post-doc fellows within our mood and anxiety disorders practice and our grief and bereavement practice. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, the psychotherapist will be responsible for ensuring that all patients and their families receive the highest standard of care during their visits at the Seleni Institute. Applicants seeking to fulfill licensure hour requirements will be considered. Located at the Seleni Institute headquarters in New York City, this is an exempt full-time position.

Responsibilities:

· Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars and individual supervisory meetings.

· Assess patient progress and modify treatment program accordingly.

· Maintain patient confidentiality and document case records on all patient contacts.

· Demonstrate professional attitude and ability to interface with senior management, clinicians and staff.

· Exhibit innovation and strong organizational skills.

· Participate in professional development and maintain required continuing education hours for licensing.

· Contribute in a collaborative environment and exhibit ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

· Exhibit flexibility to work hours in order to meet productivity goals and deadlines.

· Perform other duties as required by clinical executive staff.

Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Work from an accredited program in applied psychology or social work. If applicable, completed PhD in Clinical/Counseling Psychology is required by the time the appointment begins.

· Appropriate licensure.

· Demonstrated clinical interest specifically related to the assessment and care for women experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Expectations and Terms:

Annual salary of $40K, with excellent, comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401k savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

This is an exempt position and the employee is not eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time. However, employee understands that the nature of the position may entail additional hours for occasional meetings, emergency consults, etc.
