NYSPA's DCRE is offering a few awards:

AWARDS ANNOUNCEMENT

Student Diversity Award

The Division of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity (DCRE) of the NY State Psychological Association is pleased to announce its award for an Outstanding Dissertation or service to a diverse population to a DCRE student or recent graduate affiliate. The dissertation or doctoral project should focus on diversity factors and must have been completed in the 2013-2014 academic year. Alternatively, the prospective applicant should detail their service to a diversity group. All applicants should provide:

· A 500 word personal statement

· A PDF of the candidate’s dissertation (if applicable)

· A Current CV

· A letter of support from a colleague or faculty member

A monetary amount of $250 comes with the award. The winner will be announced at the annual NYSPA Convention. The Deadline for submissions is May 9, 2014. If you need further information please contact Louis Mora, PhD at DCRESubmissions@gmail.com.

DCRE Early Career Award

The Division of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity (DCRE) of the NY State Psychological Association is pleased to announce its award for member of NYSPA who received a doctoral dissertation in the past seven (7) years. The early career award will be provided to a DCRE member whom has made substantial contribution to the field of diversity though a scholarly paper or service to a diverse population. All applicants should provide:

· A 500 word personal statement substantiating their candidacy

· A PDF of the candidate’s scholarly article (if applicable)

· A Current CV

· A letter of support from a colleague
