Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Emotion Dysregulation in Young Children
Post-doctoral study coordinator needed for NIMH-funded study of young children with severe temper outbursts being conducted at Fordham University and the NYU Child Study Center. Job responsibilities include: coordinating the overall study of 5- 9 year old children with disruptive behavior disorders; conducting semi-structured diagnostic interviews with parents of child participants; supervising research assistants and graduate students; assisting with outreach efforts in the local community; analyzing, presenting, and writing up study findings. Clinical and research supervision provided by NY State licensed psychologists. Opportunities for adjunct teaching may also be available.
Requirements: It is preferred that applicants have completed an APA accredited doctoral program and internship, with a specialization in clinical child psychology. Previous experience with diagnostic assessment and/or treatment of young children with behavioral concerns such as irritability and temper outbursts is strongly preferred. A minimum two-year commitment is required. Position will begin Spring-Summer 2014.
