It’s time to unleash the Guitar Hero in you! This guitar simulation game will make you feel like a guitar god! You can play this game on the Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii.

For this game, all you need to do is press colored buttons as they appear in front of you, to rock! Sounds easy, right? Well, thousands of Guitar Hero fans will tell you otherwise. This game gets really hard, so beginners should play on easy. Guitar Hero III has plenty of songs, most being very well known! Songs like “Paint It Black”, “Rock and Roll All Nite”, “Rock You Like A Hurricane” and “Welcome To The Jungle”, just to name a few well-known classics. There are even well known people programmed into the game! Slash from Guns and Roses is a playable character, so is Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine and Bret Michaels from Poison. This game is the first in its series to have a Battle Mode, where you and a friend rock out on a song while grabbing weapons that make it harder to play the song correctly. Your goal in Battle Mode is to make your opponent fail to play the song. This game has a Career Mode also, in which you go from a guy with a dream to a guitar legend! You can also play in Co-op Career play, where both you and your friend play through Career Mode. The only thing that keeps this game from greatness is the fact that, after you’ve unlocked all the songs, you’re done. Fortunately, that task is hard because there is over 70 songs! Some of those songs are hidden in Co-op play! Even after you have all the songs, you can still show your stuff across the world! Online play is another new thing for this game, and it can keep a person busy for days!

It may not be the best game you will ever play, but it’s worth every penny of the $100 for the guitar controller and game. Every time I put on that guitar strap, I feel like I’m a true Guitar Hero!
